I rise to this day. Prayer to welcome the day

I rise to this day
In the confidence
of the Father’s protecting me
of the Son’s love for me
of the Spirit’s filling me.

I walk out today
with the Father above me
with the Son beside me
with the Spirit within me.

So as I walk
let the joy of others touch me
let sorrow not hide from me
let life and death meet with me.

For I rise and walk today
with God the Holy Trinity
