Taize Reflection for Ukraine

Dear friends and followers of my blog,

re: Taize Chants, prayers and poetry for the Ukraine

I want to share this special reflective Taize service with you in which I was a participant. The service is conducted by Bev Richardson who is one of the facilitators of our little Taize community. It is a service of beautiful chants, poetry, prayers and reflection.

It can be as long and as short as you want it to be, and you can use it over a week.

After the poem reflection there is a time of silence, the greater silence. Many people enter into it, a time to let go, to simply be and breathe in the presence of God. If you are not used to it, you can simply move the video on, and continue.

I have added two videos of the service, the first a shorter version, the second the entire service. You may want to start with the shorter version.

Through your participation you will be adding your prayers and intentions to the ending of the war in Ukraine and indeed for all areas of conflict in the world.

Shalom

Bob

The shortened version of the reflection

The longer version of the service. The final prayer is from Richard Rohr
