Marriage

 In marriage you have exchanged hands
 Your hands for his hands
 Weak hands for bold hands
 Vulnerable hands for shared hands
 Tense hands for loose hands
 Cold hands for squeezed hands
 Uncertain hands for firm hands 

 Her hands for your hands
 Your hands for his hands
 Hands to affirm you
 To lead and to nudge you
 Open hands to receive you
 Hands to touch and caress you
 And to circle words of love with you

 Your hand in his hand
 Two hands in God’s hands
 In life and in death
