Poem for Hattie to help her sleep
As I lay me down to sleep
Come angels, come to keep
me and Alfie safe and calm
Under our blankets, ah so warm
Then in my mind so large
I go on journeys to find
Things that bring such joy
Playtimes with girl and boy
Sandcastles on the beach and shells
The seaside with all its smells
Songs with friends and laughter I remember
Even in the dark days of November
Memories of family singing and dancing
Then Christmas lights I see
My Mom and Dad and Alfie
Always present loving me.
And grandparent so far
Shining for me like the Christmas star.

Dear Bob
Forgive me if this post comes through twice, but I had struggled with the first one I tried to send.
I sent you an e-mail earlier to the last e-mail address I have for you, just to let you know that my mother, Hester, died on 22 October.
Much love, Marisa Honey
